Involvement, branding, and community awareness are all critical elements to a successful business. Not only is it important to you as a business owner but it's important to the community, your customers, to see your business's local support.
The Chamber hosts 88 monthly events and 6 major events annually ranging from more intimate gatherings to large community events such as the Maritime Gig Festival. Below is a list of our events with a brief description that have opportunity for general sponsorship of events as well as Corporate Partner sponsorship.
What is a Corporate Partner?
A Corporate Partner commits to sponsoring/participating in an event(s) early and pays for those sponsorships at the beginning of the calendar year. Why? To receive exposure all year long! Throughout the year the Chamber hosts in excess of 35 events where our “Corporate Partner” banner is proudly displayed for our guests to see which businesses in town support their local chamber. Don’t miss out on this unique opportunity to publically show your support for the community and build brand awareness.
What do you get for paying early?
Additional exposure on chamber weekly newsletter, traveling sponsor banner, free advertising on the website and much more!

Did you know that more business deals are closed on the green than during any other event? Golf tournaments allow businesses to have more intimate discussions and one-on-one conversations. The Chamber holds an annual Golf tournament that serves as one of the major fundraisers to support and fund community contribution and activities by the Chamber, i.e. Pierce Transit Trolley, Downtown Walking Audit, JBLM Military Appreciation Day, and many more activities.
PARTNERS IN LEARNING – Last week in August
The purpose of this annual event is to provide support for our students to learn basic business and life skills necessary for becoming productive successful citizens through the Junior Achievement Program. Our goal this year is to raise $7500. These funds will assist in with transportation costs for students who are attending the Junior Achievement in Auburn, WA. This event is available to the first 30 local businesses who commit.
ANNUAL AWARDS DINNER – First Saturday in December
Each year the Chamber takes a moment to reflect upon the past year and celebrate those who have helped make the Gig Harbor Area a better place to live, work and play. We honor individuals who have helped the business community flourish; and individuals, professionals and nonprofit organizations that, through service and volunteer efforts, have enhanced the vitality and spirit of our community.
