Heron’s Key, the resort-style Life Plan Community in Gig Harbor, Washington, is hosting its first Golden Spoon Chili Cook-off on September 20 at 11 a.m. and you’re invited! The event will take place at Spinnakers restaurant at Heron’s Key, and prospective residents can join the action. The age-old question “to bean or not to bean?” will be put to the test as one Heron’s Key resident will compete against Chef Jason and Chef Codey to see who has the preferred chili recipe. Guests will be able to savor each dish and then cast their vote for their favorite. The winner will receive bragging rights and the coveted Golden Spoon Award. During the event, prospects will be given a taste of the Heron’s Key lifestyle as residents and employees share their insights on the continuum of care and amenities. They also will chat about events, groups and activities that happen year-round. And if you want to indulge in something other than chili, there will be alternative options available.
