Heron’s Key, a resort-style Life Plan Community located in Gig Harbor, Washington, is welcoming current and prospective residents to attend their second annual Golden Spoon Chili Cook-Off on November 16 at 1 p.m.
Guests are encouraged to try and rate residents’ and the Heron’s Key executive chefs’ homemade chili. The chili with the highest score will win the Golden Spoon award. Last year, a Heron’s Key resident, Bill Sams beat the culinary team to earn the Golden Spoon. This year he will be sharing his story and competing again to retain the title of “best bowl”.
For those who do not like chili, there will be plenty of options so you can have a taste of Heron’s Key and join in on the fun! Not only will attendees be able to try delicious chili, but also have the opportunity to learn about Heron’s Key Lifestyle and socialize with residents.
The event will be hosted at the Maritime Room at Heron’s Key located at 4340 Borgen Blvd., Gig Harbor, WA 98332. The event begins at 1 p.m.
