On August 7th, 3pm-5pm, visit Lakewold Gardens for the latest Music from Home! The program is titled, "Heritage" and features the McCain Duo with Martin McCain on bass trombone, and Artina McCain on piano. Known for their uses of classical, jazz, and gospel fusion, the pair will be providing the audience with an program of great depth and beauty; with 20th century music from composers such as Florence Price, and her exciting piece, "Fantasy in Purple" and Margaret Bonds' moving song, "I, Too" from "3 Dream Portraits" The program will also feature modern composers such as Carolina Calvache and her slower and heartfelt, "Enceuntros" and several more! With the duo earning two Global Music Awards for their albums "Shades" and "Trombone Czar: The Extended Version", the two are sure to provide an incredible performance for everyone in attendence.
